This time on Inspiring September Friday I am yet again adding more
female energy to my list of inspiring designers. Let’s hear some
applause for today’s designer – Wendy Yue!
Born in Hong Kong, Wendy Yue moved at a young age to Vienna to study language and culture. Travelling across Europe began her journey of self-discovery. Fascinated by nature she searched for a way to preserve her memories and revelations – she found it in producing coloured pencil drawings, but she went even further by deciding to design jewellery that would allow her to remember her expeditions. She established atelier in 1998, becoming one of the most renowned Hong Kong jewellery designers.

What I really love about her designs is how whimsical they can be – she can design something really pretty like a necklace with rose and then comes up with earring design featuring parrots!
Beautiful designs with an air of playfulness about them - her work really speaks for itself. She wanted to express herself through her jewellery designs, and I will admit that she does it brilliantly. Very colourful, very creative and very charming – that’s Wendy Yue!
